Team Chat
Section titled “Team Chat”NEURO includes built-in team chat for real-time collaboration. Communicate with team members, share findings, and coordinate on projects without leaving the platform.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Chat features include:
- Direct messages (DMs)
- Project channels
- Client channels
- File sharing
- @mentions
- Message search
Accessing Chat
Section titled “Accessing Chat”Chat Panel
Section titled “Chat Panel”- Click the Chat icon in the navigation header
- Chat panel opens on the right side
- View conversations and rooms
Keyboard Shortcut
Section titled “Keyboard Shortcut”Press ⌘ + Shift + C to toggle chat.
Chat Types
Section titled “Chat Types”Direct Messages (DMs)
Section titled “Direct Messages (DMs)”Private one-on-one conversations:
- Click + New Message
- Search for team member
- Start conversation
DM features:
- Private and encrypted
- Persistent history
- File sharing
- Online status indicator
Project Channels
Section titled “Project Channels”Each project has an automatic channel:
- All project team members included
- Discuss project-specific topics
- Share findings and updates
- Coordinate activities
Access:
- Open project
- Click Chat in project header
- Or find in Chat → Project Channels
Client Channels
Section titled “Client Channels”For client communication:
- Created per client
- Include client portal users
- Share updates and requests
- Keep client informed
General Channels
Section titled “General Channels”Organization-wide channels:
- #general - Company-wide announcements
- #security - Security discussions
- #random - Off-topic chat
Sending Messages
Section titled “Sending Messages”Basic Messages
Section titled “Basic Messages”- Select a conversation
- Type in the message field
- Press Enter to send
Rich Formatting
Section titled “Rich Formatting”Support for markdown:
- Bold:

File Sharing
Section titled “File Sharing”Share files in chat:
- Click the **** attachment icon
- Select file (images, documents)
- Add optional message
- Send
Supported: PNG, JPEG, GIF, PDF, DOCX (max 50MB)
@Mentions
Section titled “@Mentions”Notify specific people:
@username- Mention individual@channel- Notify all members@here- Notify online members
Sharing Findings
Section titled “Sharing Findings”Share a finding in chat:
- Open the finding
- Click Share → To Chat
- Select conversation
- Finding card appears in chat
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Chat Notifications
Section titled “Chat Notifications”Receive notifications for:
- Direct messages
- @mentions
- New messages in channels
Notification Settings
Section titled “Notification Settings”Customize per channel:
- Open channel settings ()
- Set notification preference:
- All messages
- @mentions only
- Nothing
Do Not Disturb
Section titled “Do Not Disturb”Mute notifications:
- Click your avatar
- Select Do Not Disturb
- Set duration
Message Management
Section titled “Message Management”Edit Messages
Section titled “Edit Messages”Edit your sent messages:
- Hover over message
- Click Edit (pencil icon)
- Modify text
- Save changes
Delete Messages
Section titled “Delete Messages”Remove your messages:
- Hover over message
- Click Delete (trash icon)
- Confirm deletion
React to Messages
Section titled “React to Messages”Add emoji reactions:
- Hover over message
- Click React (emoji icon)
- Select emoji

- Enter search terms

Troubleshooting
