Find answers to common questions about using NEURO.

  1. Navigate to Projects or press G + P
  2. Click + New Project or press C + P
  3. Fill in project details and select a client
  4. Click Create Project

If you’re an admin:

  1. Go to SettingsUsers
  2. Click + Invite User
  3. Enter email and select role
  4. Send invitation

Yes! NEURO supports imports from:

  • Nmap - Asset discovery (XML format)
  • Nessus - Vulnerability findings (.nessus)
  • Burp Suite - Web findings (XML)
  • CSV - Custom data

  1. Enter a finding title (e.g., “SQL Injection”)
  2. Click Generate with AI
  3. AI creates description, impact, remediation, and CVSS
  4. Review and customize the generated content

The AI uses Claude to generate security-focused content and can lookup CVE data from NVD.

Yes! Use the Content Library:

  1. Go to Content LibraryCustom Findings
  2. Create reusable templates
  3. Use templates when creating findings

NEURO generates reports in Microsoft Word (.docx) format. You can:

  • Edit in Word before delivery
  • Convert to PDF manually
  • Customize with templates
  1. Go to SettingsReport Templates
  2. Download an existing template
  3. Edit in Microsoft Word using template variables
  4. Upload your customized template

Common causes:

  • Findings not assigned to project
  • Missing required fields (title, severity)
  • Template variable errors

Review findings and ensure all required fields are populated.

How do I enable two-factor authentication?

Section titled “How do I enable two-factor authentication?”
  1. Go to SettingsSecurity
  2. Click Enable 2FA
  3. Scan QR code with authenticator app
  4. Enter verification code
  5. Save backup codes

I lost my 2FA device. How do I recover access?

Section titled “I lost my 2FA device. How do I recover access?”
  1. Use a backup code if you have one
  2. Contact your administrator
  3. Admin can reset your 2FA
  4. Set up 2FA again with new device
  1. Go to SettingsProfile
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter current and new password
  4. Save changes
  1. Enable Client Portal for the client
  2. Add portal users (client contacts)
  3. Assign appropriate permissions
  4. Client receives invitation email

Yes, if you grant them Manager portal permissions. The workflow:

  1. Client marks finding as “Remediated”
  2. Your team receives notification
  3. You verify the fix
  4. Update status to “Verified”

Type @ followed by their name. They’ll receive a notification.

Yes! NEURO has a comprehensive REST API for:

  • Automating workflows

  1. Go to SettingsAPI Access
  2. Click Create Token
  3. Configure scopes and expiration
  4. Copy token (shown only once)

Contact sales@nforged.com or click Upgrade in Settings.

Active users count against your limit. Deactivated users don’t count.

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Clear browser cache
  3. Try a different browser
  4. Check status.nforged.com

Possible causes:

  • Not assigned to the project
  • Project is archived
  • Insufficient permissions

Contact your admin if you should have access.

Check:

  • File format is correct
  • File size within limits
  • File isn’t corrupted
  • You have import permissions
