Email Forwarding

Each NEURO project has a unique email inbox for capturing client communications automatically.

Every project receives a unique inbox address:

proj-{shortId}@inbox.nforged.com
  1. Open your project
  2. Go to the Communications tab
  3. The inbox address is displayed in the banner
  4. Click Copy to copy the address
  1. Open an email from your client in your email client
  2. Forward it to your project’s inbox address
  3. The email appears in the Communications timeline within seconds

When you forward an email, NEURO captures:

  • Sender - Original sender’s email and name
  • Recipients - To and CC recipients
  • Subject - Email subject line
  • Body - Full email content (HTML and plain text)
  • Attachments - File attachments (stored in S3)
  • Timestamp - Original sent date

Forwarded emails are automatically processed by AI:

A concise summary of the email content for quick review.

Bullet points highlighting important information:

  • Decisions made
  • Questions asked
  • Information shared

Extracted tasks and follow-ups:

  • Requested deliverables
  • Deadlines mentioned
  • Assignments

Overall tone of the communication:

  • Positive
  • Neutral
  • Concerned
  • Urgent

Categorized topics discussed in the email.

Communications appear in chronological order with:

  • Type indicator (forwarded email)
  • AI summary
  • Expand to view full details

Click View Original to see:

  • Full HTML-rendered email
  • All headers and metadata
  • Attached files

For Outlook users, you can also upload .msg files directly:

  1. Go to Communications tab
  2. Click Import .msg
  3. Drop or select your .msg file
  4. The email is parsed and added to the timeline
  • Full email content
  • Attachments
  • Embedded images
  • Reply chains
  1. Forward Promptly - Forward emails as they arrive to maintain timeline accuracy
  2. Include Context - Forward entire email chains for full context
  3. Review Summaries - Verify AI summaries for accuracy
  4. Track Action Items - Use extracted action items for task management
  • Emails are encrypted at rest
  • Access is restricted to project team members
  • Client portal users cannot see internal communications
  • Attachments are scanned for malware
