Reassessment

Link projects to previous assessments to track remediation progress and generate comparison reports.

The Reassessment feature allows you to:

  • Link a current project to a previous assessment
  • Import findings from the previous assessment
  • Track which findings have been remediated
  • Generate comparison reports showing progress
  1. Open your current project
  2. Go to the Reassessment tab
  3. Click Link Previous Assessment
  4. Select the previous project from the dropdown
  5. Click Link
  1. After linking, click Import Previous Findings
  2. Review the findings from the previous assessment
  3. Select findings to track for remediation
  4. Click Import Selected

Imported findings include metadata:

  • Original finding ID
  • Previous project name
  • Original status and severity
  • Import timestamp
  1. Go to the Reassessment tab
  2. Click Run Comparison
  3. NEURO analyzes both assessments
  4. View the comparison results
StatusDescription
RemediatedFinding was in previous assessment, now fixed/closed
Still OpenFinding exists in both assessments, not yet fixed
NewFinding only exists in current assessment
RegressedFinding was fixed but has reappeared
PartialSeverity reduced but not fully resolved

The comparison provides:

  • Remediation Rate - Percentage of previous findings now fixed
  • New Findings - Count of newly discovered issues
  • Regression Count - Issues that have returned
  • Time to Remediate - Average time between assessments

Generate reports showing remediation progress:

  1. Go to ReportsGenerate Report
  2. Select Reassessment Comparison template
  3. Configure report options
  4. Generate the report

The report includes:

  • Executive summary of remediation progress
  • Side-by-side finding comparison
  • Remediation timeline
  • Recommendations for remaining issues

View the full chain of assessments:

  1. Go to Reassessment tab
  2. Click View History
  3. See all linked assessments in chronological order

This helps track long-term remediation trends across multiple assessment cycles.

  1. Consistent Naming - Use clear naming conventions for reassessment projects
  2. Link Early - Set up the reassessment link before starting testing
  3. Import All - Import all previous findings for complete tracking
  4. Document Changes - Note any scope changes between assessments
  5. Regular Cadence - Schedule reassessments at regular intervals
